The Stretch includes both banks starting at Altham road Bridge. The left bank fishing extends about 1 mile around the large bend to the concrete banking. Right hand bank extends ¾ mile to the end of the bend. Care must be taken on this stretch as power cables cross the river. The stretch consists of mainly swift flowing shallow water providing excellent fly fishing for Brown Trout and a few Grayling. The lower extent of the stretch slows and deepens and can be good trotting for Chub.
